Dick Presley

Patrick introduced the girls to an Christmas Elf who stays at your house and everyday he reports back to SANTA, and you find him in different locations each day. But before he can go "to work" he has to have a suitable name. As we were pondering Bailey says how about "DICK" and Rylee says "PRESLEY"...... How could you even think of changing that name. Such a fun tradition Elf on the Shelf.

Yesterday my sweet Rylee turned 8. She brings me such joy, and she is indeed turning into a fine young lady. Thank you Lord for blessing us with Rylee.

I Don't Think That We are In Kansas Anymore

Had a super fun night Trick or Treating with our friends. You can tell that the kiddos are getting older, their endurance is surpassing the adults. Anyone need a sack full of candy?

Voting

Patrick and I took the girls today to early vote in our area. It is so vital to us to teach our children the importance of democracy. We are facing such huge mountains and prayerfully we made our choices and filled the bubbles and pray that God hears our prayers. Thank you Lord that we live in a blessed nation and let us never forget that.

Pumpkin Patch

Took the girls to our local pumpkin patch which proved to be a lot of fun. Beautiful day filled with pumpkin picking, pony riding, carmel apple eating, I love fall!!!

Today is the day that I turned "45" and I am psyched!! I had a day filled with love, cards, phone calls, presents, shopping, pizza eating, who could ask for anything more. My heart is so full of gratitude to my Lord for giving me this life, and the many loves that fill it to the brim. Happy Day!!!

Family visit continued

A Trip

This past weekend we traveled to visit family and to physically hug my baby brother who has accepted a job that will take him far far from home. Although I am thrilled for him and his precious family, my eyes kept wanting to fill and I decided not to cry and to try to embrace the moments with family, and boy did we enjoy each other. Checkers were played, burgers were eaten, silly string was sprayed, cornhole was introduced, water was swam in, conversations were had, and hugs were given and taken. Great weekend.

Imagination

One of the greatest joys I have experienced while raising our girls has been hearing and seeing their imaginations soar. They play for hours pretending with all of their cats, dogs, farm animals, ponies etc.. I love to listen to the scenarios and how they solve so many problems through talking and pretend. Tonight Bailes came up to me and had a cat figure in her hands and told me that Momma cat missed Father cat and that every night she goes into her bedroom and "gazes" at his picture on the wall and "wepts bitterly", because she wants him to find a new job so that she can see him more. Sounds like a romance novel in the making huh?

My Beloved

Today 17 years ago I married my best friend. Today as my love prepared a scrumptious dinner for me (and the girls), I just bathed in the love!! Patrick and I are true home bodies, we have traveled and we have done some crazy things, but our hearts always beat better at home. At one time today as I was in the laundry room folding clothing and Patrick was broiling steaks and the girls were off in pretendville, I looked out of the laundry room window and saw a sweet bunny feeding and I thought to my self what a wonderful life!!! Happy Anniversary My Sweet Patrick, I love you. Cheers!!

Whole Foods

Today we went on a field trip to a FANTASTIC grocery store in our area and all I can say is Wow!! We literally sampled our way through the store and learned a few things as well. Fun day!!
