Whew, what an absolute whirlwind!! Carols were sung, cookies were decorated (and eaten), gifts were wrapped and unwrapped, friends and family visited, but most important praises were lifted up to the King of all Kings!!
"God rest you merry Gentlemen, Let nothing you dismay; Remember Christ our Saviour, Was born on Christmas-day; To save our souls from Satan's power, Which long time had gone astray: This brings Tydings of Comfort and Joy."
This Big black lump of love had our whole family in an absolute tailspin. We were all out side and some how the front door got left open and our precious Donkey got out!! The primal wailing was more than a mom and dad could take. Patrick searched our front property and Rylee (hysterical) and I took off the other direction. Rylee asked God please let my Donkey be okay!!!! All of the sudden Bailey who was on the lanai said I hear something MOM he is over there, of course we ran and scooped up the biggest black lump of love. He is home safe and sound Thank you God.
We visited the oldest home in our area today. The home and gardens were exquisite. So interesting to see how people lived in the 1800's. Great history lesson.
Today I asked sweet Bailes what she was going to ask Santa for and here was her reply: Enchanted Forest, Cat Park, Leapster Game, Jungle in my pocket and a NEW PRESIDENT!!! Santa PLEASE grant our wishes!!! Had to laugh out loud.
Trimming the tree is always FUN!! Hot cocoa sipped, christmas carols sung, and lots of oooooooohs and aaaaaaaahs over sentimental ornaments, such treasured memories.
Today my sweetness turned seven! A day filled with big breakfast, hugs, singing, Build a Bear workshop, Chili's, family birthday wishes and present opening. We love you Rylee. Happy Birthday.
Today we attended a field trip at a very historic ranch in our area. The place was so beautiful and had the feel of "Old Florida". We took part in two different tours one tour took us to see 2 working oil wells and the other was a 1/2 mile hike through the woods. When we got back we got to hear a 5th generation cowman talk about ranching cattle, and when he was finished talking, he asked the crowd if there were any questions and Bailey's hand flew up and my heart skipped a beat (you just never know what is going to come out her little mouth), the cowman asked her what her question was and she asked "How can only 3 bulls marry and have babies with so many cows?" Let me just tell you the whole room fell out laughing including the cowman, he responded by saying "Good question you are going to have to ask your mom that one." Great day!!
Yesterday the girls got to read to the puppies at our local library. They loved the experience of reading to Mooshie and Bay. Thank you friends of the library.
What a fun evening was had with great friends. The girls pumpkins are overflowing with delectables. So much fun to watch the littles get so excited about dressing up and trick or treating.
A few days ago Bailes was on the lanai and came tearing into the house yelling "There is a turtle", we all rushed out to find Mr. Donkey nose to nose with a lovely box turtle. Of course the girls had to pick him up and investigate the little guy. Nature all around us.
I took the girls to the Family Day at the Museum. What a fun day filled with face painting, cupcake decorating, card making, watching juggling clowns and taking in beautiful works of art.
Thank you Lord for allowing me another year to live in your precious Glory. Thank you for knitting me together in my mother's womb and knowing me by name. 44 today and so blessed.
